Abstract
A corona discharge web conveyance roller ( ) and process for finishing the surface ( ) of the roller ( ) with plateaus ( ) and down features ( ) adjacent to the plateaus. Interconnected channels ( ) formed in the surface ( ) of the roller ( ) by overlapping down features ( ) comprise at least 50% of the surface area while plateaus ( ) comprise at least 20% to about 50% of the surface of the roller.
