Abstract
A compound electrolytic loudspeaker ( ) comprising two major elements: a capacitive transducer ( ) and a transducer driver unit ( ). The capacitive transducer ( ) consist of a compound diaphragm ( ) that is suspended within a frame assembly ( ) and which consists of a front stator ( ) having a front stator electrode ( ), a rear stator ( ) having a rear stator electrode ( ), and a center diaphragm ( ) having a diaphragm electrode ( ). The electrodes interface with the transducer driver unit ( ) which receives and amplifies an audio signal applied from a receiver-amplifier ( ). The amplified audio signal drives the capacitive transducer ( ) in synchrony with the reveived audio. The capacitive transducer ( ) is designed to be used singularly or be positioned in several selectable placement configurations including a side-by-side configuration, a stacked vertical configuration and in a horizontal configuration wherein an inner surface ( ) of a first frame assembly ( ) abuts with an outer surface ( ) of a second frame assembly ( ).
