Abstract

When a printer receives print data in the form of PDL, commands are analyzed and intermediate data is stored in a page buffer ( ). Rotation of a polygon mirror is started at this time by a scanner pre-rotation command unit ( ), after which bitmap data is expanded by a bitmap expanding processing unit ( ) and printed. When printing starts, the polygon mirror is already rotating. This makes it possible to shorten first-page discharge time.
