Abstract
An automatic container filler ( ) having a frame ( ) that supports a hopper ( ). A dispensing unit ( ) is located at the bottom of the hopper ( ) that selectively feeds a fluent material, such as sand, into a plurality of discharge chutes ( ). The automatic container filler ( ) is designed such that fluent material, such as sand, is fed into the hopper ( ). The dispensing unit ( ) moves the fluent material from the hopper ( ) through the discharge chutes ( ) into containers such as sandbags. The dispensing unit ( ) deposits a predetermined amount of the fluent material through each of the discharge chutes ( ) and into containers in sequential order.
