Abstract
A power line ( ) for an electric vehicle ( ), wherein a hollow elongated insulating enclosure ( ) is fitted on top with a number of conducting plates ( ) aligned in the traveling direction ( ) of the vehicle and substantially coplanar with a horizontal road surface (ST). The enclosure ( ) houses an elastically deformable strip conducting element ( ) extending in the traveling direction and having a portion of ferromagnetic material ( ). The strip conducting element ( ) is attracted by the magnetic field generated ( ) by the electric vehicle ( ) traveling along the line, so as to deform and raise a portion ( ) of the strip conducting element ( ) and connect one conducting plate ( ) to a positive supply line ( ) inside the enclosure. First and second elongated conducting elements ( ) are provided on opposite sides of the conducting plates ( ), and communicate with a ground potential to laterally define, in a direction crosswise to the traveling direction of the vehicle, a road surface safety region housing the conducting plates ( ), and outside which the potential assumes a substantially zero voltage value, even in the presence of a layer of conducting fluid on the road surface (ST).
