Abstract
An automobile rear window shade 9 having a windup roller ( ) rotatably seated in a housing ( ) in the automobile. The windup roller ( ) is pre-stressed in the wind-up direction of the window shade web ( ) by a spring ( ). Two pivot levers ( ), which are pivotably seated on the housing ( ), are provided for unrolling the window shade web ( ). Couplings ( ) between the pivot levers ( ) and a gear motor ( ) are provided for operating the pivot levers ( ). The couplings ( ) are flexible over sections of their length, and to prevent kinking of the flexible sections kink-protection structures are provided.
