Abstract
A method and apparatus is described for operating a control apparatus ( ) having a control unit ( ) coupling to a first programmable memory unit ( ) for storing data and programs for controlling the operation of the control apparatus and a non-volatile second memory unit ( ). The described method is characterized in that data, which document the programming operation, are stored therein when the programmable memory unit is programmed.
