Abstract

Topically applicable, water-resistant but emulsifier-free cosmetic/dermatological emulsions well suited for the UV-photoprotection of human skin and/or hair contain (a) at least one aqueous phase and (b) at least one fatty phase, (c) an effective UV-photoprotecting amount of at least one micronized organic UV-screening agent insoluble therein, the mean particle size of such micronized particles ranging from 0.01 to 2 &mgr;m and (d) optionally, at least one crosslinked polymer of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer.
