Abstract
A mechanical convergence fixture apparatus ( ) having an LCD frame assembly ( ) which is positioned in relation to a projector chassis ( ) using an alignment assembly ( ) which is positioned in relation to a projector chassis ( ) using an alignment assembly ( ). The LCD frame assembly ) has a micro LCD ( ) rigidly affixed thereto and a field lens ( ) adjustably affixed thereto. A vacuum chuck ( ) holds the LCD frame assembly ( ) on the alignment assembly ( ) while the LCD frame assembly ( ) is positioned. A drop of adhesive ( ) is then placed on each of a plurality of locating studs ( ) and a like plurality of locating holes ( ) to affix the LCD frame assembly ( ) in position on the chassis ( ). The alignment assembly ( ) is then detached from the LCD frame assembly ( ) to be reused.
