Abstract
A retractable hose reel assembly comprises a reel ( ) rotatably mounted in a casing ( ) and a torsion spring ( ) for rotating the reel in a direction corresponding to winding of the hose on the reel ( ). A ratchet ( ) and pawl ( ) prevent or limit rotational movement of the reel ( ) in the winding direction.
