Abstract

The Mg—Al-based hydrotalcite-type particles according to the present invention have a plate surface diameter as large as from 0.1 to less than 1.0 &mgr;m, an adequate thickness ranging from 0.02 to 0.08 &mgr;m and a heat-resisting time of not less than 160 minutes when measured by a specific method, and are, therefore, suitable as a stabilizer for chlorine-containing resins.
