Abstract

An air treatment device is adapted to be mounted on and directly supported by an electrical socket. A treatment medium, such as a replaceable electrostatic filter or a replaceable absorber/adsorber, is located at the front of the device. A fan draws air through the medium and particles with a particle size above 0.1 &mgr;m are removed.
