Abstract

The invention relates to a system which includes an air spring ( ) which, in turn, encloses an air volume ( ). The system also includes a controllable shock absorber ( ) connected in parallel to the air volume. Furthermore, the system includes an ancillary volume ( ) with which the air volume ( ) of the air spring ( ) is connected via a controllable throttle ( ). The stiffness and the total damping of the system can be pregiven via a control of the throttle ( ) and of the controllable shock absorber ( ) independently of each other.
