Abstract

An A/D converter has been described that compares the bounds of a voltage window with an analog input signal V . When V is not within the boundaries of the voltage window, the position of the voltage window is moved either upwards or downwards depending on the disposition of the analog input signal. The position of the voltage window is sequentially moved until either the analog signal V is within the bounds of the window or the absolute upper or lower position limits are reached.
