Abstract
The invention relates to a device ( ) for degerminating water passing through a sanitary appliance, comprising a housing ( ) through which water can flow, and a UV lamp ( ) located therein. Said UV-lamp ( ) is connected to an external current source by a terminal base ( ) made up of two detachable parts ( ). The first part ( ) of the receiving base ( ) is fixed on the housing ( ) and contains a first coil ( ) which can be connected to the external current source. The other part ( ) of the terminal base ( ) has a receiving opening ( ) into which the base area ( ) of the UV-lamp can be tightly inserted. A second coil ( ) is also integrated into this second part ( ). When the terminal base ( ) is assembled, the second coil ( ) is so close to the first coil ( ) in the first part ( ) that the two coils ( ) perform the function of a transformer transmitting power without a galvanic connection forming between the two parts ( ) of the terminal base.
