Abstract

An invention is described through which it is possible to reduce in quantity the coloured, mostly dark, and frequently adhesive deposits which form in lead accumulators with separators of filled poly-olefins during formation and operation. The essential feature is that the separators contain as plasticizer a process oil with a C value of ≦6%, a sulphur content of ≦2000 ppm and a polar part of ≦1%. Preferred process oils to be used as plasticizers are relatively naphthenic and naphthenic oils.
