Abstract
A connector supporting structure includes a female connector temporarily engaged in a bracket 3 fixed to an instrumental panel and a male connector where a cam lever is rotatably supported by a male connector housing . Since a rotation handling part of the cam lever butts against a step part A of the bracket to receive a reaction force, the cam lever is rotated to effect the engagement between the connectors . On the lateral side of the front end of a male connector housing , protective cover parts B are formed so as to extend sideways. Before fitting the connector to the connector , the protective cover parts B operate to protect the rotation handling part . When fitting the connector to the connector , the protective cover parts B come into contact with a guide slant face formed on the bracket , so that the cam lever can be prevented from being broken.
