Abstract
A reed ( ) for a weaving machine. The reed includes juxtaposed reed dents ( ), the ends of which are held in a lower profiled bar ( ) and in an upper profiled bar ( ). The reed dents in at least a sub-segment projecting from the lower profiled bar have a width of about 6 mm and in an upper segment exhibit a width of about 4 mm.
