Abstract

A sinker ( ) for a knitting machine operating according to the relative technique is described. The sinker ( ) contains a front ( ), a back ( ), a head ( ) arranged on one end and having a sinker throat ( ) and a knock-over edge ( ), a control butt ( ) intended to make possible movements in a longitudinal direction (v) and protruding from the front ( ), and at least one rocking element ( ) designed to make possible pivot movements transverse to the longitudinal direction (v) and provided on the front ( ). According to the invention, the sinker ( ) also has a spring element ( ) intended to compensate for manufacturing inaccuracies, acting transverse to the longitudinal direction (v) (FIG. ). A knitting machine equipped with such a sinker ( ) is also described.
