Abstract

A vehicle lock apparatus in which a wireless door lock function and an immobilizing function are established is provided. A key ( ) is provided with a battery ( ), a switch ( ) and a control IC ( ). An antenna-coil is mounted at an end portion of a key cylinder ( ). A wireless antenna ( ) is mounted at a predetermined position in a vehicle. When the switch ( ) is turned on, a wireless signal is transmitted by the control IC ( ) so that the wireless door lock function is established. When the key ( ) is inserted in the key cylinder ( ), the control IC ( ) inhibits the transmission of the wireless signal and communicates with the antenna-coil ( ) using an ID code so that the immobilizing function is established,
