Abstract
The present invention discloses a method for treating baterial dental caries caused by , comprising administering a composition comprising an effective amount of at least one lytic enzyme produced by a bacteriophage specific for , with the lytic enzyme having the ability to exclusively digest a cell wall of the infecting all or part of a mouth or teeth, and a toothpaste for delivering the enzyme to the mouth and teeth.
