Abstract
A rod body is formed of magnetostrictive material and includes one end portion fixed, and a piston is fixed to the other end portion of the rod body . The piston is slidably disposed within a cylinder in which there is formed a pump chamber . A suction port for sucking lubricating oil into the pump chamber is formed in the cylinder , while a suction valve for preventing the lubricating oil from flowing out from the suction port is disposed in the suction port . In the cylinder , there is disposed a nozzle which communicates with the pump chamber and has a sectional area smaller than the lubricating oil passage sectional area of the suction valve . There is disposed a coil outside the rod body and, to the coil , there is connected a control device for controlling the supply of a current to be supplied to the coil
