Abstract
The pile of cut sheets ( ) are fed one by one, being separated by a friction member ( ) which is backed away by a cut sheet ( ) advanced thereto by the action of a feeding roller ( ). The static friction coefficient between the friction member ( ) and a standard sheet of fine paper is set to be 1.0 to 1.5, so as to provide enough amount of frictional force to the interface between the friction member ( ) and the cut sheets ( ) to ensure the separation of the cut sheets ( ).
