Abstract
A hydraulic rotary roll damper for a motor vehicle is mounted concentrically about an anti-roll bar and coupled to the ends of the anti-roll bar by tubing . The damper includes a stack of stator plates mounted on a stator housing member and rotor plates mounted on a rotor housing member . The rotor plates are each located within a recess of one of the stator plates , and side plates between the stator plates cooperate with the stator plates so as to form a series of cavities each divided into working chambers by one of the rotor plates . A varying width passage or a valve and piping are provided to decrease the damping with increasing axle articulation.
