Abstract

An oxygen absorbing multi-layer film which comprises a first outer surface comprising an uncolored oxygen permeating layer comprising an oxygen permeating polyolefin which does not contain a pigment; a colored concealing, oxygen permeating layer disposed under the uncolored oxygen permeating layer the color concealing, oxygen permeating layer comprising an oxygen permeating polyolefin and a pigment; a second outer surface disposed opposite to the first outer surface, the second outer surface comprising a gas barrier layer and an oxygen absorbing layer disposed between the colored concealing, oxygen permeating layer and the gas barrier layer the oxygen absorbing layer being made of an oxygen absorbing resin composition comprising an iron-containing deoxidizing agent and an oxygen permeating polyolefin. The oxygen absorbing multi-layer film can be used as a packaging material and has desirable strength, heat resistance, heat-sealing properties, hot tack properties and appearance. An oxygen absorbing packaging container can be made of the oxygen absorbing multi-layer film.
