Abstract
A method is described for the production of a tubular knitted article on a circular knitting machine, in which a needle cylinder knits said tubular article (M) beginning at an initial end and finishing at a final end. At the end of the knitting of said tubular article, the latter is partly released from the needles ( ), engaged by transfer members ( ) and then released completely from the needles and transferred to means for closing said second end.
