Abstract

The available space within the apparatus housing ( ) in the portable handheld work apparatus is limited so that the individual components have to be accommodated in a tight space. A spacer ( ) is provided in order to avoid unfavorable heat effects on the carburetor ( ) and to provide an advantageous mounting position. The spacer ( ) is positioned between the engine ( ) and the carburetor ( ). The spacer ( ) has a channel section ( ) which runs diagonally to the respective flange planes ( ) of the spacer ( ). This channel section ( ) connects the intake channel ( ) of the carburetor ( ) to the inlet opening ( ) of the engine ( ).
