Abstract
In a frictional hinge device, an inequable strain distribution within a synthetic resin is determined to be 15% or less so as to increase a torque holding rate by 80% or more to tightly engage a support block with a metallic shaft This eliminates variations on a frictional torque with no substantial stickslip phenomenon, abnormal noise and initial scratches accompanied when pivotally moving the support block relative to the metallic shaft so as to maintain a stable surface friction resistance with good endurance for a long period of time.
