An electrical charge assembly for use within a vehicle having a transmission a starter assembly and an engine The assembly includes a capacitor assembly which selectively provides electrical charge to the starter assembly effective to allow the engine to be activated. The starter may be selectively coupled to the transmission effective to increase the torque produced by the transmission and may selectively provide electrical charge to the capacitor assembly
