Abstract
A folding table ( ) of robust construction having a reinforced picture-frame edge and underside elongate chassis members ( ) running along the length thereof, the chassis member ( ) pivotally supporting two pairs of legs ( ) and opposed track elements ( ) associated with each pair of legs. The track elements ( ) accommodate followers ( ) attached to opposite ends ( ) of a connecting element ( ) to which are fixedly secured legs ( ) of a support frame ( ), legs ( ) of which pivotally connect the connecting element ( ) to the legs ( ) so that movement of the followers ( ) in the track elements causes movement of the pairs of legs ( ) between a first inoperative position and a second operative position.
