Abstract

The invention relates to a jacketed projectile ( ), comprising a tungsten carbide hard core ( ) on the front side and an centered, interlocking soft core ( ) placed on the hard core ( ). A closed air space ( ) is located between the front area ( ) of the hard core ( ) and the tip of the projectile ( ). This projectile configuration provides a very high penetration potential and good dynamic and ballistic properties, enabling the inventive projectiles to be used as munition for police snipers, especially to hit targets located behind a glass.
