Abstract

A process for manufacturing automotive vehicle bodies using a formed substrate material ( ), a thermal spray coating ( ), and a means to cover the portions of the formed substrate deemed necessary. The formed substrate is of predetermined cross-sectional design and the thermal spray thickness is allowed to vary in a predetermined manner.
