Abstract
A throttle valve control device provided with a throttle valve 3 formed in an elliptic shape such that a major axis is a center line connecting mounting holes and for fixing the valve to a throttle shaft . A clearance A is provided between an edge of the elliptic valve in a minor axis and an inner wall of a throttle bore configuring an intake passage, while the minimum open area needed for idle engine operation is provided. Even if deposits are accumulated in the bore in the vicinity of the throttle shaft at the idle operation, the throttle valve further rotated in a reverse rotating direction at throttle valve non-control time can scrape off the deposits at a smaller rotational torque as compared with in the vicinity of the edge of the valve
