Abstract

This invention relates to peroxyketals derived from cyclic &bgr;-keto esters and use of the same in the curing of resins, such as unsaturated polyester resins. The new peroxyketals were synthesized via an acid catalyzed reaction of cyclic &bgr;-keto esters with aliphatic hydroperoxides.
