Abstract
In a method for identifying the spinning position of cops, each cop is provided with an individual marker. The marker is read at the rewinding machine for determining the corresponding spinning position. The marker can e.g. consist of a bar code applied to an end of the cop's tube. With this system it becomes easy to attribute yarn parameters determined at the rewinding machine to individual spinning positions.
