Abstract

A steady-state condition in which respective discharge lamps for main beam and for dipped beam are both turned on, a sum (P +P ) of a value of power supplied to each discharge lamp is controlled to be smaller than a sum (P R+P R) of a rated power value for each discharge lamp.
