Abstract

A scooter type motorcycle is provided for improving a high speed travelling operation by forming a rear wheel supporting member, being a separate body from an internal combustion engine, in a freely swingable manner, for realizing efficient arrangement of parts, and for securing large spaces for floors. In a scooter type motorcycle having lower deck type floors, the scooter type motorcycle includes an internal combustion engine arranged rearwardly of the floors and on a downward side of a seat, and a rear wheel supported via a supporting member which is swingable independent of the internal combustion engine.
