Method and apparatus for the cooling of a liquid ( ) within a container ( ) by means of a liquid cooler ( ), which absorbs a working agent vapor through a sorbent ( ) from an evaporator ( ), which is in thermal contact with the liquid ( ) to be cooled, and wherein during the regeneration of the sorbent ( ), the working agent vapor flows back into the evaporator ( ) and during condensation, releases its condensation heat to a liquid ( ) in the container ( ).
