Abstract

A thermometric-binary code conversion circuit including an input unit that outputs an encode input signal upon receiving a thermometric input signal. An encoder unit outputs an encoded output signal upon receiving an encode input signal. An output unit outputs a binary output signal upon receiving the encoded output signal. The encoder unit directly converts the code in accordance with a thermometric-binary code conversion equation expressed by Boolean algebra without forming intermediate code and without having dependence among bits of the binary output signal.
