Abstract
A brake lining module ( ) with electric warning device ( ) for indicating excessive friction lining wear comprises a back plate ( ), to which a friction lining ( ) is fastened, wherein the back plate ( ) has a radially situated, friction-lining-free region ( ). Disposed close to the back plate ( ) in the friction lining ( ) is a bore ( ), in which a plug ( ) is provided, which comprises a head ( ) and a shank ( ) with a longitudinal groove ( ), in which an electric conductor ( ) passed through the head ( ) is accommodated. Projecting up from the head ( ) of the plug ( ) is a protective shield ( ), which is laterally offset relative to the longitudinal groove ( ) and has an extension ( ), which at a distance above the head ( ) protrudes in the direction of the common center plane ( ) of the shank ( ) and of the longitudinal groove ( ). To reduce the overall radial height and prevent damage to the electric conductor ( ), the back plate ( ) in the friction-lining-free region ( ) has a recess ( ) open towards its radial edge and the extension ( ) extends from the protective shield ( ) over the common center plane ( ) of the shank ( ) and of the longitudinal groove ( ) up to at least approximately the opposite edge of the shank ( ). The recess ( ) and the bore ( ) have center planes which are at least adjacent.
