A tubing hanger having two actuators disposed at opposite ends of a valve gate to provide pressure balancing. Each actuator has a piston acted on by a hydraulic fluid supplied to sealed spaces through ports Ports may be linked to prevent the two pistons from being forced apart by line pressure leaking from the passage into cavity A single actuator may be used for low pressure applications.
