Abstract

A two part faucet gauge ( ), having a gauge strip ( ) with strip indicia ( ) and a gauge cover ( ) with cover indicia ( ) is utilized to reduce the time and water wasted in adjusting water to a desired pressure and temperature. The gauge strip ( ) includes a raised lip ( ), so that it is attached with suction to a faucet support surface ( ). The gauge cover ( ) preferably comprises a hollow body ( ) configured to receive a faucet knob ( ) therein. An operator rotates the knob ( ) and cover ( ) until selected indicia ( ) from the strip ( ) and cover ( ) are aligned. The selected indicia ( ) correspond to the desired pressure and temperature of the water. In an alternate embodiment, the cover ( A) and strip ( A) comprise adhesively backed sheets.
