Abstract
A connector includes female and male housings ( ) that can be connected with each other. The housings ( ) can be separated by placing a finger is on a pushable portion ( ) that projects from the upper surface of a slidable member ( ) and pushing the slidable member ( ) backward against a biasing force of a coil spring ( ). Next, a displacement operating portion ( ) at the rear end of a locking piece ( ) is raised to disengage a locking claw ( ) from an engaging portion ( )A. When the female housing ( ) is pulled out of the male housing ( ) in this state, the housings ( ) are separated. The pushable portion ( ) of the slidable member ( ) and the displacement operating operation ( ) of the locking piece ( ) are formed so as not to project out from the outer surfaces of the housings ( ). Therefore, a deformation and/or damage of the slidable member ( ), the locking piece ( ) and their neighboring parts by an external force can be prevented.
