Abstract

The invention proposes a lever-type cam follower ( ) which, for mounting a pin ( ) for a cam roller, comprises bores ( ) in the region of its side walls ( ). The diameter of the bore ( ) is larger than the diameter of the bore ( ). Corresponding ends ( ) of the pin ( ) are configured so that when mounted, the pin ( ) is fixed in the bores ( ) by a press fit. Thus, the pin ( ) can be inserted with its second end ( ) at first through the larger bore ( ) without causing damage to its raceway ( ) during assembly. At the same time, the press fit guarantees an excellent fixture of the pin ( ) in the cam follower ( ) with an all-round contact.
