Abstract
A fuel injection valve ( ) having an integrated sparkplug for direct injection of fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine and for igniting the fuel injected into the combustion chamber has a valve body ( ) which, together with a valve closing body ( ) operated by a valve needle ( ), forms a seal seat. The valve body ( ) and to some extent the valve needle ( ) are surrounded radially by an insulating body ( ). The insulating body ( ) is in turn surrounded radially at least in part by a housing body ( ). Ignition electrodes ( ) are provided on the valve body ( ) and the housing body ( ). The valve needle ( ) has a first metal guide section ( ) guided in a swirl insert ( ), a second metal guide section ( ) guided in the insulating body ( ) and an insulating section ( ) arranged between the guide sections ( ). The guide sections ( ) are connected in a positive manner to the insulating section ( ).
