Abstract

A toilet seat includes a seat ring ( ) and means ( ) for positioning the same relative to a toilet bowl. The positioning means include at least one pair of interconnected arms ( ) which are movably mounted on the seat ring ( ) and capable of being brought synchronously to positions in which they engage the toilet bowl. The arms ( ) of each pair are designed for engagement with opposite inner surfaces or outer surfaces of the toilet bowl and are interconnected so as to move synchronously in opposite directions as they are brought to their positional settings.
