Abstract
The present invention relates to recombinant DNA which encodes the BsmI restriction endonuclease as well as BsmI methyltransferases, expression of BsmI restriction endonuclease in cells containing the recombinant DNA by using a low copy number T7 expression vector pACYC-T7ter, and purification of BsmI restriction endonuclease by heat treatment and chromatography through heparin Sepharose column.
