A press arrangement and method for the treatment of a fibrous material web (,) which includes a lower shoe press roll (,), with which two upper press rolls (,) are associated, with which the shoe press roll (,) forms in each case a press nip (S,or S,) elongated in the direction of travel of the web (L). The first elongated press nip (S,) viewed in the direction of travel of the web (L) is double felted.
