Abstract
A rolling bearing for a bearing unit is applicable to so-called under-race lubrication employing an oil air method or an oil mist method. A lubrication oil is supplied toward rolling elements (,) through oil supply channels (,) from a bottom (,) of an annular groove (,) formed in one end face (,) of an inner ring (,). A V-shaped groove (,) is provided along an edge of a raceway groove (,) of the inner ring (,) circumferentially of the inner ring. Outlet ports (,) of the oil supply channels (,) are provided in a recess defined by one of inclined surfaces of the V-shaped groove (,). A space (S) is defined between the outlet ports (,) and the rolling elements (,). A sufficient amount of air flows through the space (S), whereby the lubrication oil is supplied to the rolling elements (,) and the raceway groove (,).
