Abstract
A multi-linkage suspension system (,) including isolators (,) positioned at the outboard ends of the linkages (,) for suspending and isolating an engine (,), such as an Auxiliary Power Unit (APU), from a structure (,), such as an aircraft fuselage. The system (,) has a plurality of linkages (,) extending from the engine (,) towards the structure (,); each linkages (,) including an inboard (,) and outboard (,) end, a plurality of outboard isolators (,) attached at the outboard ends (,), a bracket (,) for connecting the outboard isolators (,) to the structure (,), a rod end (,), which is preferably elastomeric and includes an elastomer layer (,), for connecting the plurality of linkages (,) to the engine (,). The system (,) is easily tuned and provides for common components and the location of the isolators (,) minimizes direct exposure to heat and aggressive fluids.
